Arrival of Antonov AN-225 «Mriya» cargolifter in Warsaw on 14.04.2020
Antonov Airlines AN-225 «Mriya» - the world’s heaviest aircraft delivering medical supplies to Warsaw. By luck or divine ;) - after approach and low pass over WAW, Mriya flew a 360 around my elevated position. By then, Poland was in lockdown and people were waiting for more PPE to arrive. So, Mriya had millions of PPE on board, but later it turned out, that they were not fit to use. The third story around this video is the little private plane surprisingly flying into the field of view of my camera while having Mriya almost at the final parking position in the background for size comparison at 1:55. #UR-82060 #AN-225 #Antonov #avgeek #WeAreAviation

This took me back I flew in an Aero Lloyd Caravelle from Munich to Fuerteventura in November 1984, it was a nearly 6 hour flight.
This brings back great memories of flying in a gnarly, noisy, narrow tube of shiny metal. I'd give anything to fly in one of those old birds again. No cockpit door, wonky speed brakes, warts and all.

what was Pan Am doing with regional aircraft in Hamburg???
They flew between Berlin and Hamburg, with both 727 and ATR these days. There have been 737 and A310 on this route as well in the "modern days". The flights from New York were operated by A310, 747 -- and L1011 when they still had them.

Oh the nostalgy. I loved Caravelle. Flew on it many times (Finnair). There were so many different aircraft makes in those days in Europe it's unbelievable. Today, Airbus and Boeing....boring.

THE most beautiful looking aircraft. I flew on one of Air France's and once on Swissair night flight LHR - Zurich. Sorry when these elegant planes were replaced by more prosaic looking aircraft.

War der erste Flug meines Lebens ins Ausland. Von Düsseldorf nach Ibiza mit der LTU um genau zu sein. Später dann als ich älter wurde habe ich noch endlos viele Flüge in alle Welt unternommen. Aber an keinen dieser Langstreckenflüge habe ich noch so eine starke Erinnerung wie an diesen Flug. Tja, war halt er erste und dadurch auch der spannendste Flug für mich. As Time goes by .

Früher war Fliegen noch was Besonderes, man hatte sich sauber und ordentlich angezogen, heute fliegen sie in schlunzigem Outfit, kommen besoffen in den Flieger, pöbeln rum.
Ach. Bei mir werden auch schöne Erinnerungen wach. Bin 1989 das erste Mal nach Mallorca mit Aero Lloyd geflogen. War unvergesslich für mich. Damals gings in das Hotel 33...........
Multiple times flown with this type of Caravelle: with LTU to Rhodes old Maritsa airport! I was also on the last flight back to DUS before the LTU Caravelles were retired and sold to Turkey. Later then with the Tristar ...
